Our Branding

"Chapter 3 Consultancy" draws its name from the symbolic significance of the number 3, representing three meaningful concepts. Besides referencing to the third chapter of our lives, the number 3 is a homophone for "tree". This embodies our client’s aspiration to create a nurturing and protective environment for their loved ones, akin to the shelter provided by a strong and flourishing tree.

Additionally, the number 3 signifies our mission to help our clients extend their love for three generations and beyond. We firmly believe that estate planning is about creating an impact that transcends time, allowing our clients to pass down their values, wealth, and wisdom to their loved ones.

Our company logo serves as a representation of these three concepts. It comprises three key elements: a tree, a pen, and a candle flame. The tree signifies growth, strength, and longevity, while the pen signifies the importance of careful documentation and meticulous planning. Lastly, the candle flame represents the enduring nature of our clients' love as it is passed down from one generation to another.

Furthermore, our choice of blue and green colour in our logo symbolises the vitality of nature and the perpetual flow of life, reminiscent of an everlasting river.
At Chapter 3 Consultancy, our name, logo, and colour scheme collectively reflect our commitment in guiding our clients to pen a transformative and meaningful third chapter of their lives!

Chapter 3 Consultancy Pte Ltd is a licensed trust introducer to Precepts Trustee. Since 2008, the PreceptsGroup has grown tremendously in experience and achievements as an Estate Planning Group. It has established a strong and solid foundation specifically in the areas of Succession, Distribution and Management of Wealth. Having built a reputation of reliability, PreceptsGroup continue to stand firmly as one of the largest in the industry within the Asian region. It has a track record of setting up more than 1,000 Living Trust, 15,000 Wills, and currently hold more than 9,000 Executor and Trustee appointments. Precepts Trustee Ltd is a licensed Trust company (Licence No. TC000040) regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). It is licensed to conduct the following regulated activities:
  • Provide services with respect to the creation of an Express Trust
  • Acting as Trustee in relation to an Express Trust
  • Arranging for any person to act as Trustee in respect of an Express Trust
  • Provide Trust administration services in relation to an Express Trust
As a regulated entity, Precepts Trustee is required to:
  • Have professional indemnity insurance
  • Segregate Trust funds
  • Protect clients’ confidential information
  • Observe relevant codes and guidelines

Our Founders

Bernard Fung is a practising Estate and Succession Planner with 16 years of expertise in financial advisory. What sets Bernard apart is his multi-disciplinary approach to estate planning. In addition to being an estate planning practitioner, he is a Certified Financial Planner and holds a certification in private banking from the NTU Wealth Management Institute. This allows him to approach the topic not just from the legal aspect but also provide valuable insights into the financial and family dynamics that are crucial to preserving family harmony.

Bernard's expertise has garnered him numerous invitations to seminars and talks, where he educates audiences on the significance of holistic estate planning. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the Malaysia Law Institution, sharing his knowledge with students pursuing a diploma in professional will writing and estate planning. His passion lies in assisting families with vulnerable members, such as parents with special needs children. Bernard firmly believes that estate planning is not a taboo subject to avoid but the ultimate love letter to be handled with respect.

Attracted by the fulfilment of a meaningful career, You Yi joined the financial services industry to make a difference to people’s lives. She has been in the financial industry for 8 years and currently a practising Estate and Succession Practitioner with Precepts Legacy Pte Ltd.
